Martha’s Vineyard, MA Weather Conditions And The Best Times To Visit
Martha’s Vineyard is a paradise. That’s not a secret. But the million-dollar question is: When is the best time to visit and have perfect weather?

Well, first of all, Martha’s Vineyard average heats fluctuate considerably over the course of the year. Bearing in mind humidity, temperatures feel cold for about half of the year, and then nice, relatively sunny, with a just chance of precipitation the other half of the year. Compared to most tourist destinations, it is a considerably less temperate location.
Now, your ideal vacations will probably include some swimming or walking on the beach, and you’ll want the weather to be a sunny, warm one in order to do so. If that’s the case, then let me tell you that the warmest time for visiting Martha’s Vineyard is during June, July, and August, since these are the hottest months of the year. The hottest time is generally right in the middle of July when day temperatures are regularly around 81.8°F (27.7°C) and them hardly ever falling lower than 64.9°F (18.3°C) at night.
In matters of precipitation risk – if that’s something you want to avoid – the months with the lowest chance of significant precipitation in Martha’s Vineyard are May, and then August and September. Though amongst the three, it is arguably between September and August the one with the lowest chance. The precipitation risk is at its lowest throughout early August, while it does is more likely to rain during mid-February.
During the spring months of March through May, you will find that humidity and temperatures merge to make this season reasonably cold. Highs range from 71.8°F (22.1°C) and 41°F (5°C), and rain is common to some extent with 5 to 7 days of significant precipitation per month.
In the summer months of June through August, there is very comfy weather with relaxing high temperatures. These months see the least precipitation with 5 to 6 days of precipitation per month. Fall from September to November, daily highs range from 77.4°F (25.2°C) and 51.5°F (10.8°C), which will feel comfortable given the humidity and wind. It rains or snows a significant amount: 5 to 8 days per month. And winter weather from December to February is far too cold to be pleasant for warm weather travelers. The average high during this season is between 49°F (9.4°C) and 36.6°F (2.6°C).
Based on this data and the knowledge that is better to travel when the tourist season not at its peak, I would say the best time to visit Martha’s Vineyard is in fall, mostly during September because the weather consists of warm days with cool nights. Warm enough to jump into the ocean, cool enough to pull wear your favorite fall sweatshirt, respectively. The best of both worlds, am I right?!
Besides, it is in September when the tourist season has cooled down, too, after the summer, and there aren’t so many crowds on the streets, the hotels have plenty of space for new reservations, everything necessary to have a truly relaxing vacation.
Who could have guessed September was the best time to go on a vacay!
